• Research and evaluation of different time series database technologies with respect to the product requirements and performance-related aspects
• Development of a performance-optimized data model for storing machine telemetry data
• Implementation of a backend service for storing incoming telemetry data in a suitable time series database using the developed data model
• Development of a strategy for migrating existing time series data to the new data model
• Performance evaluation of the developed solution

• Hands-on experience with databases, ideally time series databases
• First experience in programming languages such as C# or Go
• Basic knowledge in container technologies like Docker and ideally Kubernetes
• Ideally first experience with data streaming & messaging technologies like Apache Kafka/Redpanda/MQTT
• Strong ability to work goal-oriented and independently while being aligned with the development team
• Profound communication skills in both German and English
