JOB DESCRIPTION
In the role as Product Cost Controller, you will be part of the Group Product Cost Controlling team and work with cross-functional with different teams at TRATON, at the local R&D entities and the Controlling teams of the GROUP brands. You are together responsible to calculate, challenge, and track product costs for current and upcoming products.
To ensure that you will:
In an early state of product development, derive top-down targets from a market perspective to set product cost ambition for a certain product
Discuss and implement cost-optimizing measures cross functionally in order to reach desired profitability through workshops or benchmark activities
Perform product cost calculations during the product lifecycle and consolidate into comprehensive product cost views for all brands and present results in cross functional committees and stakeholders
Track and monitor product cost over time including deviation analysis including change management
As our Product Cost Controlling team is a Group sub team, we are working with all brands in the Group. In your role it’s therefore important to have a Group view and have frequent contact with all brands.
YOUR SKILLS
Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration or industrial engineering or related field with a strong interest in technical issues
A minimum of 3-5 years working experience in areas of product cost controlling of hardware products or related functions, e.g. purchasing, R&D, project management or strategy
Strong analytical mind and high sense of quality and responsibility
Team player with interactive, communicative, and structured working style able to present data in a clear and easily understandable way
Enjoy working in a diverse, dynamic team with counterparts across the world
Fluent in English language (verbal and written); fluent in Swedish or German as well is a strong plus
