PM Group are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to join a capacity expansion project in the Food industry in northern Germany
This is a long term Freelance / Project Based Contract (up to 24 months), based on our client site in Germany
The project involves a capacity expansion within an existing production facility. The scope includes the implementation of a new, as well as the upgrade of an existing production and filling line.
The project will be executed in a brownfield environment, with a strong focus on safe integration into ongoing operations, hygienic design, operational readiness and compliance with food industry standards

Es handelt sich um einen langfristigen freiberuflichen / projektbezogenen Vertrag (bis zu 24 Monate) am Standort unseres Kunden in Deutschland
Das Projekt umfasst eine Kapazitätserweiterung innerhalb einer bestehenden Produktionsanlage. Der Auftragsumfang beinhaltet die Implementierung einer neuen sowie die Modernisierung einer bestehenden Produktions- und Abfüllanlage.
Das Projekt wird in einer Brownfield-Umgebung durchgeführt, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf der sicheren Integration in den laufenden Betrieb, hygienischem Design, Betriebsbereitschaft und der Einhaltung der Standards der Lebensmittelindustrie liegt.

Align with client HSE standards and develop&implement the project HSE plan to ensure occupational health, safety, and environmental protection during the planning, construction, and installation phases as well as compliance to statutory requirements.

Facilitate incident reporting, investigation, and corrective actions

Conduct inspections on a regular basis and ensure site standards are being met

Attend all coordination meetings to ensure works are being planned and carried out safely.

Review and approve contractor HSE plans and risk assessments

Förderung einer Sicherheitskultur im gesamten Projektteam und bei den Mitarbeitern- Ermittlung und Minderung von Gesundheits-, Sicherheits- und Umweltrisiken während des gesamten Projektlebenszyklus
- Umsetzung und Überwachung des HSE-Managementplans für das Projekt
- Beratung hinsichtlich der Erbringung der Gesundheits-, Sicherheits- und Umweltdienstleistungen gemäß den Anforderungen des Kunden und den vereinbarten Plänen
- Unterstützung bei der Meldung von Vorfällen, deren Untersuchung und der Einleitung von Korrekturmaßnahmen
- Durchführung regelmäßiger Inspektionen und Sicherstellung der Einhaltung der Baustellennormen
- Teilnahme an allen Koordinierungssitzungen, um sicherzustellen, dass die Arbeiten sicher geplant und ausgeführt werden
- Prüfung und Genehmigung der HSE-Pläne und Risikobewertungen der Auftragnehmer

Senior EHS Manager with experience in construction projects within the food or pharmaceutical industry, combining strong regulatory expertise with hands-on site operations experience.
- 5–10+ years of EHS experience, including multiple large-scale projects
- Strong focus on construction site safety
- Proven track record in implementing HSE plans
- Certified Safety Specialist (SiFa) + Safety and Health Coordinator (SiGeKo) + experience with ISO 45001 / 14001
- Fluency in English, and German language skills is essential
Qualifikation:
