We are looking for a motivated and skilled
Business Data Analyst (m/f/d)
to join our team in Berlin as soon as possible.
The Business Data Analyst plays a key role in helping the business make informed, data-driven decisions. By turning complex data into clear insights, this person supports teams across Europe in understanding performance, identifying opportunities, and driving continuous improvement.
In this role, you will collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources, transforming it into meaningful reports, dashboards, and recommendations. You will take ownership of key performance indicators (KPIs), prepare weekly and monthly business analyses, and uncover trends within sales and customer data to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Working closely with the Business Data Manager and stakeholders across the organization, you will act as a trusted partner, providing high-quality insights that help shape business priorities, improve performance, and support sustainable growth.
Responsibilities / Duties:

Support data-driven decision-making by gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for involved stakeholders.

Develop and own KPI reporting, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and relevance across the organization.

Produce and distribute weekly and monthly management reports, including trend analysis and performance tracking, for instance for revenue, volume, portfolio mix.

Design, build, and maintain dashboards for sales, inventory, and operational reporting to support real-time and strategic decision-making as part of strong commercial support.

Conduct routine and ad-hoc analyses using sales data, client data, and other internal and external databases to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.

Serve as a subject matter expert on data sources, data validation, and analytical methodologies or internal teams and business partners.

Partner with business stakeholders to define reporting requirements and translate business questions into analytical solutions.

Collaborate closely with the Business Data Manager and the Senior Manager Strategic Finance.

Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, automation, and data visualization standards.

Contribute additional analytical and strategic projects as directed by senior leadership.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Advanced proficiency in Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling including dynamic models and charts, macros).

Strong working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and analysis.

Experience with Power BI for dashboard creation and data visualization.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German.

Any programming experience (e.g., Python) a plus.

Proficiency in presentation development (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint).

Ability to work with large datasets from multiple data sources.

Familiarity with using AI tools in a corporate environment for modeling and scenario planning.

Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Ability to explain complex data to non-technical audiences.

Strong communication and presentation skills – role requires constant communication with international teams.

Agile, flexible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Data Analysis, Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, or a related field

Minimum 3–4 years of professional experience in data analysis, preferably in finance and/or sales environments.

Proven experience building dashboards, business intelligence, and management-level reporting.
