Do you want to do work that matters, alongside supportive leaders who will help you grow faster than you ever thought possible? Are you a creative problem-solver who is energized by challenges? You’ve come to the right place.
YOUR IMPACT
You will generate insights on the evolution of the automotive industry across components, consumer behavior, and electrification.
You will get to drill into automotive components (e.g., powertrain, E/E systems, software) using proprietary data and models to assess technology trends, cost developments, and market dynamics. A parallel stream focuses on designing and executing quantitative and qualitative consumer research, including surveys and immersive formats, and analyzing customer behavior across B2C and B2B contexts. You may also forecast EV adoption and look into the unfolding of EV charging infrastructure by assessing demand, regulatory drivers, and total cost of ownership.
You will have the opportunity to work both with McKinsey experts as well as directly with clients, where you will develop and customize business insights and model outputs. This involves using latest AI tools to develop proprietary AI-driven tools for our assets and clients.
You bring a passion for mobility and sustainability to help develop and deploy cutting-edge capabilities and market projections to support our clients. Ideally, you will also bring automotive or mobility expertise and analytical skills to bear. We expect you to develop industry-leading expertise in the above-mentioned McKinsey Center for Future Mobility (MCFM) knowledge domain and to participate in further building our mobility insights and tools.
You will have significant space for initiative taking and personal growth. You’ll have the opportunity to gain new skills and build on the strengths you bring to our firm. You will receive exceptional training as well as frequent coaching and mentoring from colleagues across our firm.
You will be based in our Munich office in Germany as part of the international McKinsey Center for Future Mobility Solution with approximately 40 colleagues worldwide.
You will join a young, growing, entrepreneurial team focused on developing distinctive insights and intelligence tools and deploying them to McKinsey’s mobility clients (e.g., OEMs, suppliers, micromobility players, charging operators, private equity).
You’ll work with mobility enthusiasts and experts within our McKinsey Center for Future Mobility on solving our client’s most challenging questions on their way towards a successful and sustainable future.
The McKinsey Center for Future Mobility is our firm’s think tank developing new perspectives and counseling clients on trends in shared mobility, electrification, autonomous vehicles, and consumer sentiment. Thus, we are at the forefront of the sustainable mobility transition and help business leaders and policy makers solve the world’s mobility problems for society, industries, and individuals.
YOUR GROWTH
Driving lasting impact and building long-term capabilities with our clients is not easy work. You are the kind of person who thrives in a high performance/high reward culture - doing hard things, picking yourself up when you stumble, and having the resilience to try another way forward.
In return for your drive, determination, and curiosity, we'll provide the resources, mentorship, and opportunities you need to become a stronger leader faster than you ever thought possible. Your colleagues—at all levels—will invest deeply in your development, just as much as they invest in delivering exceptional results for clients. Every day, you’ll receive apprenticeship, coaching, and exposure that will accelerate your growth in ways you won’t find anywhere else.
