Your tasks

Acoustic analysis of airborne and underwater noise

Development of suitable numerical simulation models

Cooperation with internal and external partners (scientific research institutions)

Support in project development/sales/operation with customers

Central point of contact for all acoustic questions

Internal training/support for acoustics

Optimization of components regarding mechanical and acoustic goals

Support with data analysis with a focus on acoustics

Cooperation with geotechnical engineering at Menck

Your profile

Physicist, mechanical engineer or acoustics engineer (Master of Science required, preferably PhD)

Specialist in acoustics, theoretical knowledge and experience in acoustics

Good mechanical background

Solid background in numerical simulation methods (FEM, BEM, optimization, ...)

Knowledge in programming languages (Matllab, Python, ...), programming skills

Basic understanding of geology/geotechnics

Practical experience with common/current simulation software (Ansys, Abacus, ...)

Team player with experience of working within interdisciplinary teams

Plan, organize and prioritize work; Balance between skills, priorities, and schedule to achieve goals

Very good knowledge of spoken and written German and English (at least B2/C1 level)
