Why is it that so many us of hate our jobs in this industry? On paper, it pays pretty well, you get to make stuff and go on shoots etc. It’s not physically gruelling work and it’s not as dull as most office jobs. So what is it that makes us hate it so much? The hours? The creative frustration? The clients?

Is walking out of the bathroom stall after taking a loud, gassy dump to the horrified and disgusted face of your CCO a good reason to start looking for a new job? Asking for a friend.

While I’m sure he’s qualified, a 9 month process interviewing 100+ people for your head of strategy sounds like you’re a nightmare place to work. I want to believe they were respectful of people and let people know right away if they weren’t advancing, but in this industry, that’s too uncommon.
