I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at 3M (Minneapolis, MN) in Feb 2014
Interview
The first interview was much more relaxed than expected. There were two interviewers and it felt more like a conversation about the job and my qualifications that it did an interview. The interview only lasted about 30 minutes which also eased nerves. They were very open and honest when answering my questions about the position and the company, which I greatly appreciated.

Question 1
Why do you think you are a better fit for this position than any other applicants?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at 3M (Maplewood, MN) in Jan 2014
Interview
I got a call from someone after having a contact give him my resume. We talked for about an hour, and a week later I got a call from him saying they wanted to hire me and I should expect an email with an offer in a few days. The whole process was really easy, but I don't know if that is because I came as an employee referral. I don't know how the process works if you were to apply online.

Interview
I had a phone interview screening, and then a couple months later an interview with a manager who would later become my boss at the internship. Although not the most expedient process, it was a summer internship that I was able to nail down by January or February so I am happy with the final outcome.
