I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at ADP (Phoenix, AZ) in Oct 2018
Interview
An internal recruiter contacted me about the opportunity. I had a phone interview with her and then was brought in to meet with the hiring committee. A couple of weeks later I was scheduled for a phone interview with two additional people. One was the technical specialist. There were technical difficulties, which turned out to be due to one of the interviewers, causing me to have problems hearing the questions I was being grilled on. I was nervous because I really wanted the position and knew I might not be as strong on some of the technical items; but, I was ensured by the interviewer that they were simply trying to determine what level they would bring me in and that they didn’t expect anyone to know all of the information. Further, she informed me much of the information would be provided in the form of cheat sheets in addition to the in-depth training provided. I didn’t hear back for another couple of weeks. I reached out to the recruiter who informed me I was on her list of people to call back that day. They had decided I didn’t possess the technical knowledge for that particular position. Although, she said everyone liked me and thought I was an excellent fit for ADP. Additionally, she said I was a good fit for an implementation consultant position in a different area. She invited me to continue submitting applications and asked if there were any opportunities I was interested in. I gave her some feedback about the technical issues we had on the last call and she was going to look into it and get some additional feedback. I never heard another word from her. I have reached out and left her messages about my strong interest in working at ADP. This process started in October 2018. It is now January, I have applied for other opportunities, reached out to the recruiter and one of the hiring managers, but no one has responded. Quite disheartening.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ADP in Oct 2018
Interview
I applied online and received a request for a phone screen. When the rep called me, she called from an 800 number and started the call by verifying my name and asking me how I was--I almost hung up on her because I thought she was a telemarketer and I was waiting for a call from an interviewer! Eventually she introduced herself as being from ADP.
She then proceeded to ask me a series of highly structured questions, ignoring any detail of context I provided to condense it down into a single bullet point or sentence. She frequently interrupted me while I was answering her questions and seemed to have trouble following my answers, so I did not feel like this person was the appropriate person to be interviewing me for the role. She didn't seem to understand how the situations I was describing applied to the role, which makes me question whether she understood the role at all. Her tone was condescending and I felt like I was a bother to her for not knowing that I was supposed to give her a bulleted list rather than answering in STAR format. ADP or the recruiter should have communicated how she wanted the answers to be provided so that I wasn't wasting my and her time providing detail when she didn't want it.
I know that highly structured interviews are more valid predictors of performance, but this interviewer was plain and simple rude, and I almost felt like she hated her job, or hated me for being the person she had to waste her time interviewing. There is a better way to handle structured interviewing than that. To top it off, she couldn't even answer basic questions about the job like "does it require travel?" and "is it a sales role with a quota?"

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ADP (Tempe, AZ) in Jul 2018
Interview
Interview process was typical. There was a phone screen and then a face-to-face interview with a panel of two. This process took two weeks. The two involved in the panel interview were not prepared and had not reviewed my background or resume prior to the interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interview itself was the worst interview I have ever heard of and/or experienced. The individuals were not prepared for the interview. One had not reviewed my resume and/or background prior to the interview. I was embarrassed for him. He was more concerned with my previous salary than discussing the role.
