Candidature spontanée, faite par mail
J'ai eu un entretien en 2 parties: Questions sur mes motivations et compétences puis étude de cas assez classique et intéressante (avec un temps de préparation court)
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at AFRY (Dubai) in Nov 2023
Interview
2 Interviews, and 3 tests:
-Interview 1: screening call with HR for 30 mins, simple and short about your current status, your resume, and 1 question that is related to energy (familiarize yourself with pros, cons, challanges, the way electricity pricing work) it shouldn't be tough.
-Tests: two weeks after the screening i got an email that the following week i have to complete 3 tests back to back in 2.5 hours.
analytical reasoning test: 45 mins video call with an analyst, she asked me around 5 questions each one took around 8mins. the questions might be tricky but there's no way to realy prepare so just make sure to enter with clear mind, and good sense of logic.
Word test: after a 30 mins break, the nest task was a word assignment, I had to write a 1 page report to talk about an energy related topic, it's good here to prepare yourself similar to the first interview.
Excel test: I received an excel file with some data energy related, and i got asked to work with the data provided. here you should familiarize yourself with few excel functions such as (sumif, vlookup, AVGif). if you have basic knowledge in excel it should be really hard, but make sure to manage your time as you will have no more than 1.5 hours to complete both tests and send them back.
-Interview 2: one week after completing the test, i passed and was moved to the final round with 2 members in the senior team, the interview was arround 1 hour long and they asked very detailed questions regarding the CV so make sure to own everything you say passionatly, then they asked few behavioural questions, and finally 2 or 3 energy related questions similar to first round but a bit more detailed (I recommend watching on youtube 3 videos called "electricity markets 101" really helpful if you don't have previous experience).
15 days later i got the job offer.
overall the process is not easy but it is fair.
