They asked a lot of scenario questions wanting know to know what I would do in certain situations or wo during what I've done if I have experienced previously.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at ALDI (Northampton, England) in Jul 2025
Interview
Very chilled interview, mainly speaking about my availability and how physical and fast-paced the work would be. We spoke about my CV, and out of the 20 questions I had prepared, he only asked me 2 of them. I was only there for 15 minutes. Got through to the next stage, the store experience day, I was shown around the store and warehouse, we spoke about what the job would involve, with the emphasis on how physically challenging the work would be.
Got an email, I was unsuccessful two days later, just a generic one saying 'due to high volume of applicants, we're unable to give personal feedback'
After four stages, I think feedback is deserved, and I was disappointed with Aldi.

Interview
Process took 4 weeks. You first get asked to complete a video interview basically asking the same questions from the initial application. This is just you recording your answer to three questions: What interests you about working for ALDI?, What skills and attributes could you bring to the role? and Give an example of a time you provided excellent customer service. You get a minute to answer each question but have as long as you want to prepare. Around a week after this I got invited to an Individual Assessment which wouldn’t take place until another two weeks later. This may differ from location to location but the assessment was just a meeting with the store manager and area manager. I was asked about myself and my employment history, really just getting to know me personally rather than professionally. I got my rejection email the next day but according to some employees, the next steps after this is just a store walkthrough/tour and then contract signing. Overall a positive experience but took ages.
