I applied online. I interviewed at ALDI in Sep 2017
Interview
I worst interview process ever! I wouldn't recommend anyone to waste their time applying. You all go in like sheep where you under go a unfair process of a group assessment. It doesnt matter how much experience you have or how good of a worker you are because the employers never really give you a good chance to speak or ask you questions one on one. They say they want the best well they just let one of the best go all because a no one-on-one interview. And their be glad to know they have lost one customer that will never be shopping at aldi again
I applied online. I interviewed at ALDI (Stourbridge, England) in Aug 2017
Interview
Go through the online application process if you are successful, then you are invited to an interview. During this interview you are asked 3 questions. The manager who interviewed me was very nice even though I do think I didn't get it, as one question led to me really ruining the interview. First question I was asked was what do you know about Aldi. The second question about is abit about yourself (besides professional side) e.g. Hobbies etc etc, then you are asked about your work experience and then given a questionnaire mathematical and bar code questions as presented online. Then asked about flexibility etc etc. However the second question regarding previous work experience made me ruin everything that came afterwards, nevertheless it was a great experience.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at ALDI (Vermont South, Victoria) in Aug 2017
Interview
I applied for a position at Aldi online and received an email a week later asking me to come in for a group interview.
The group interview situation was the strangest and most inefficient that I've ever attended. There were 9 of us in a room with the area manager. We all answered a set of questions - name, work history, study history, store preference, availability and why we want to work for Aldi.
Then the area manager told us about the job and proceeded to ask if we had any questions. There were a few people who dominated the questions - mainly the older people. The younger candidates did not get to have a say.
I don't know how the candidates for the next step were chosen. I didn't get through to the one on one interviews, and I wish they gave us feedback. I asked questions, maintained eye contact and tried to contribute to the conversation despite there being a lack of conversation. I also have 6 years of supermarket experience that I was not able to highlight because the group interview was barely an interview.
