I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ALDI
Interview
Completed the online assessment and was invited to come along for a one on one interview.
Interviewer was pleasant although didn't make me feel 100% comfortable unlike other interviewers have done. Completed a quick test after the interview; only had 5 minutes to complete.
Then got invited to a work trial for 2 hours. On the day I was with another candidate; we were given health and safety sheets to sign, given a tour then told what jobs to do for the remaining time. Manager was nice, but a little awkward; it was very clear that he thought we weren't working fast enough despite both going as fast as we could with a brand new task.
Overall it seemed like a lot of hoops to jump through just for a low level store assistant position and took around 1 month from applying to rejection.

Test Question: A customer wants you to quickly add up her basket total. In her basket she has items costing: £5.97, £2.76, £1.98 & £0.93. What is her basket total?
Had a group online interview and I felt it was very hard to get any point across and it felt very over the top and the process seemed too long for what the job actually was
Started as a group where we were educated on the history and benefits about working at ALDI, and were asked what we think working at ALDI is like. Seemed like a good company with fair pay. The individual interview itself only asked availability.
I was first givwn the opportunity to join a group assessment, which I passed. I was then asked to attend a face-to-face interview, in-store but the manager did not come into work that day and I was asked to rearrange the interview after waiting for over an hour. Another applicant also turned uo and waited 30 minutes after I arrived
