I applied online. I interviewed at ALDI (Manchester, England) in Oct 2015
Interview
Application online with 19 scenarios some of them will be maths questions which i found fairly easy! followed by 7 questions you have to answer. If you are sucessfull they email you to book an Individual assessment in store with a manager this is where they ask u basic questions about yourself & career plans followed by a 5 minute times maths test which is easy Next stage is a 2 hour store experience where you get assessed by a store manager (they should email you within a week to book this if you have been successful in the Individual Assessment)
My process took 2 and half months wait I am still waiting for an email as i have had my IA today fingers crossed!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about yourself?
Why have you chosen Aldi?
What does the store Assistant job entail?
Are you flexible?
One scenario question
Group interview where you had to role-play scenarios about working in the store. Hard to actually get a word in and it was online which made it even more difficult.
Had a group online interview and I felt it was very hard to get any point across and it felt very over the top and the process seemed too long for what the job actually was
Started as a group where we were educated on the history and benefits about working at ALDI, and were asked what we think working at ALDI is like. Seemed like a good company with fair pay. The individual interview itself only asked availability.
