The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ALDI in Jun 2008
Interview
I was referred to the company by a recruiter. She got me in contact with the District Manager and we arranged a time to meet at a nearby store. The initial interview lasted about 75 minutes, but part of this time was spent filling out the application. I was then referred to the Director of Operations for an interview, but it was probably 2-3 weeks after my first interview. They were very straight forward interviews. I detailed my previous jobs and talked about my strengths and weaknesses. It was a more formal interview than I had with some other companies, but no "curve-ball" questions. Even though it was formal, everyone I spoke with was friendly and professional.
I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ALDI (Springfield, MA) in Jun 2010
Interview
I stopped at the store and filled out a application. I called a few days later and they told me someone would contact me if they wanted an interview. I was called two weeks later for a interview. I attended the interview and a week later i received a phone message that they hires someone else with more experience. The interview that I had was with a District Manager who really didn't ask too many questions and it only lasted 20 minutes.

Question 1
I think the interviewer should have asked more questions as to my experience and questioned me more on my Mgmt skills like strengths and weaknesses.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at ALDI (Kingston, NY) in Jan 2009
Interview
The Regional Manager who interviewed me was very polite and supportive with his words. He was also sympathetic with some negative experiences I related to him at my current job. He came across as an experienced Manager and as a true professional. Unfortunately, I was considered to be overqualified for the job. He expressed his concerned with my desire to continue my education since the position I applied for required me to be available from 5am to 10pm if necessary. Overall, he showed me the respect and consideration I expected from a successful German company.
