AMD interview questions

Interview arranged through University coop program. Hiring manager was very professional, the interview consisted of both behavioural and technical. Was asked about how to handle stress and organize tasks for completion. The technical side was mainly on SMPS buck converters, didn't go too much details but was asked to draw the buck converter and look for areas with major power loss.

This is a Coop/Intern position for the summer 2012. Got referred by my friend and submit the resume to the yield group. Have a phone interview next monday. I reviewed the semiconductor device fabrication and solid state device operation principal in the weekend. But the manager never asked these knowledge. It seemed they put more emphasis on the previous experience on the statistic analysis method and the software use such as C. And the manager let me to describe my thesis research topic and ask the experiment design principal.
