I applied through other source. I interviewed at ASML (Wilton, CT) in Sep 2019
Interview
It was more of an interrogation than an interview. I design FPGA-based systems (embedded and otherwise) these days and they really weren't sure what they were looking for. Multiple positions were open, but this particular interview had nothing to do with FPGAs. I have no idea why they put me up in a hotel for a night to do a 2-day interview. Day one was so bad that I turned my car around on the way to day 2 of the interview. ASML does impressive work, but at 60, my days of wiring backplanes are long behind me. I only work Corp-to-Corp contracts for over a decade now. This aggravated one of my interrogators who was a middle manager and a miserable person.

Question 1
There was no "one thing", the questions were all over the place because I never spoke to anyone with experience in my field of expertise, so they had to improvise.
