Interview
I had a negative experience with Adyen’s interview process. The entire process felt improvised and chaotic, with little clarity or structure. The recruiter was 30 minutes late to the first call, and I had to remind them about the scheduled meeting. The role description was vague, with discouraging statements like, "the team needs someone to make their life easier" and "we are building the rocket while flying it" which gave the impression of unclear expectations and a divide between candidates and the team.
After the initial call, I received an automated email with a case study to submit in a week. The assignment felt rushed, and the project provided was broken, requiring me to fix it before I could even start. This crucial detail was not communicated, resulting in a significant loss of time.
After submitting the case study on time, I followed up after a week and was told the team had received several successful submissions, they need more time to review them and they will get back to me asap. Despite following up twice more, I never received any feedback or an update, which left me feeling ghosted and undervalued.
If you value your time and professional respect, I would recommend approaching this company with caution.

Interview
It was good rounds which helps you get familiar with the whole team, you must be technically sound for the role that you apply for. The interview process may very depending on the role. The recruiters are very helpful and they help you at every step of the process, making it easier for you to navigate and present your best self. The company also gives a lot of value to Adyen formula. Overall it's a good company with good work life balance.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The tested all the Technical details that were required for the interview, however, no live coding round was taken.
One of the weirdest interview experience I've had. Similar to the other reviews, they want you to sell the role for them (recruiter round). Do your research well if you are keen on joining.
