I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Adyen (Amsterdam) in Dec 2021
Interview
I applied in December 2021 for the Tech Support Engineer role in Amsterdam, and overall the process was very smooth. 1- Interview with 1 team member, questions were mostly revolved around Adyen Formula, to see how you fit. 2- Technical challenge where I had to implement their drop-in solution (they will send you a file where you can see how it works, and different solutions) and for bonus points you can style or add different payment methods which was pretty easy, they have a very good documentation, so make sure to use it during implementation. - Then 1 hour interview with 2 team members, where I was asked questions mostly about Fraud Detection, which kinda caught me off guard, because I had no experience or little knowledge about, and I was mostly prepared for other things. The overall idea was to see how you think, and they don't actually expect you to know everything.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
- Why do you want to join Adyen? - How can you tell if a credit card is stolen? - Who sees the payment data when they fill out the payment form? - Where are Adyen's servers are located? - What kind of questions do you think customers ask when they reach out to the Technical Support Team?
One person from HR and one person from the team, both were nice. They asked how I would describe the company to a 5 year old and how I would optimize digital transformation

Question 1
how would you describe the company to a 5-year-old?
A lot of steps involved, about 6 of them. But the sessions are very interactive and each of the interviews made me feel relaxed. More like conversations.
Learn the Adyen formula.
Learn about the company and what it does and the functionality.
