I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Chattanooga, TN) in Jan 2012
Interview
I received an email on careerbuilder for the job. They asked several questions. I answered and never received an initial call back. I then contacted the recruiter but without success. I then received an email stating I was not selected. I had a co-worker going through the process and he was selected and offered the job. He gave me the recruiter's name and number. I contacted him but he never returned my initial call; however, he did send an email asking me to pick a day and time for a scheduled interview. I interviewed over the phone and at the end of the interview, the recruiter asked that I give him a call the second week in January; I interviewed December 7, 2012. He never called but he did send an email ending the process.
Prior to even speaking to anyone about a possible interview there was a long and lengthy testing required. Really disappointing to finish with no feedback or additional details. I only received an email post test.
I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (Stamford, CT)
Interview
Extremely unprofessional in my opinion. Talked to 3 different people, all of whom were wearing old sweatshirts and not looking at the camera. As I was sitting on zoom in a suit jacket, did not feel at all a place I would be valued at.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Conflict between coworkers, how would you approach resolving?
All virtual. STAR interview questions (situation task action result). Think of examples of tough situations you had to deal with. I think I had 2 or 3 interviews before I got an offer. Pretty smooth process overall.
