I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Phoenix, AZ) in Apr 2010
Interview
I sent my resume to a recruiter on LinkedIn. He responded with a few simple questions, such as "Are you willing to relocate?" and "How many associates have you directly supervised?" Then he scheduled a phone interview with me, which basically consisted of him telling me about Amazon and the Area Manager position. The only question he asked me was "Do you have any questions?" The next day I received an email inviting me out to Phoenix for an interview. I accepted, but have not completed the interview yet.

Question 1
How would you handle an employee who showed up to work drunk?
Prior to even speaking to anyone about a possible interview there was a long and lengthy testing required. Really disappointing to finish with no feedback or additional details. I only received an email post test.
I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (Stamford, CT)
Interview
Extremely unprofessional in my opinion. Talked to 3 different people, all of whom were wearing old sweatshirts and not looking at the camera. As I was sitting on zoom in a suit jacket, did not feel at all a place I would be valued at.

Question 1
Conflict between coworkers, how would you approach resolving?
All virtual. STAR interview questions (situation task action result). Think of examples of tough situations you had to deal with. I think I had 2 or 3 interviews before I got an offer. Pretty smooth process overall.
