I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (London, England) in Jan 2022
Interview
2 warm up calls with recruiter to assess fit and line manager to go over CV and gauge experience etc
5 interviews, one hour each, focused on behaviors listed as amazon leadership principles
First round is recruiter and second round is video interview with hiring manager. Interview process is behavior questions and they are several resources to get prepared. What annoyed me is - most of the time the interviewer was typing with no or little engagement. Not able to think outside their online retail environment and don’t show any empathy to candidate work experience. Any situation we describe, the attitude is what is the big deal about without understanding about the industry and organization culture of the candidate. Most of the time, we don’t even know about the role and expectations for the role. You will start to wonder what kind of team you will be joining and work culture of the team. May be it is good for junior folks and not really anything for accomplished professionals
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amazon (Tokio) in Jan 2022
Interview
focused solely on drills on Amazon leadership principles, nobody is interested in anything else. your current salary provided in the beginning of the process also does not interest HR - they might offer you less than that.
