I went through a phone screen, had recruiter calls, and attended a four-round on-site interview process. During the behavioral interview, I had a difficult experience. It felt as though I was being interrogated rather than interviewed, with the interviewer casting doubt on my responses. This made me question their adherence to the company's stated principles. When I discussed topics such as inclusion, which were mentioned in the job description, the interviewer questioned their relevance. I explained that assessing their commitment to these values was important for me to gauge the company's authenticity. Overall, I was dissatisfied with this experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
3 coding (bfs, min-heap, low-level class design), 1 system design (parking lot), and also leadership principles (I don't remember exactly).
I recently interviewed for an SDE position at AWS. The overall process took about 3 weeks and consisted of:
Online assessment (coding + work simulation)
Technical phone screen
Virtual onsite ("Loop") with 4 interviewers
Online Assessment
The coding questions were medium difficulty, similar to LeetCode. One focused on arrays and hashing, while the other involved graph traversal. The work simulation assessed decision-making and Amazon's Leadership Principles.
Technical Interviews
The technical rounds included:
Data structures and algorithms
Coding in a shared editor
Time and space complexity discussion
System design (for experienced candidates)
Object-oriented design questions
I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon Web Services (Seattle, WA) in May 2026
Interview
Standard recruiter call - 60 min HM - 2 panels.
Basic behavioral questions. How ? Why ?
No Artificial intelligence tools allowed.
Design a review feedback system.
Why X over Y
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time when you had conflict with your leadership.
Tell me about a time when you chose wrong architecture. What did you learn?
The interview process began with an Online Assessment (OA), which then led to a series of three consecutive interviews. These included a behavioral interview and two distinct coding challenges. All segments, particularly the coding problems, were quite difficult.
