You could give a detailed and succinct answer, give them 5-10 seconds to finish typing their notes, and they'd ask the exact same question again. Whatever they're instructed to record seems pretty divorced from the interview itself, as they make it clear that they're just "collecting data." They will ask questions that you may be a subject matter expert on, and you can clearly tell that they're not sure if you answered the question or not because they'll just repeat it again.
