Four stages of interviews. Overall standard process except there was no research portfolio review and instead consisted of a mock research plan that was followed-up with a mock interview. There were no curve balls or "I gotchas" there was a general sense that the panels sincerely wanted to understand work experience. Would have preferred portfolio review, as that's more standard, but plenty of opportunities to discuss background and also ask questions to team.
