I was asked to create a profile using web cam, in a couple of days I had the technical round with the Architect. A couple of days later I had another Web Cam interview with the Hiring Manager. The next day I got a call from the recruiter confirming the offer. In a week I got the signed letter with link for Background check and within hours had a confirmation for Drug Screening test. I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at American Express in Nov 2015
Interview
I was interviewed for an hour in person. The interview went pretty well. I got a response from the staffing agency that they've liked you after a couple of days.
After few follow ups with the staffing agency, I was told that the hiring manager (director) was on vacation and yet to 'catch up' on the feedback.
Director was somehow going to decide on 1 of the 2 candidates (Including me). They were not sure if there'll be a 2nd interview. I found it very unprofessional.
Anyways, I get a call from staffing agency that the director would like to interview me over the phone ( after 2 weeks). Director was in Arizona and 'busy' so another person calls me from that office. Her didn't even know if I was interviewed already before.
I told him about the 1st interview.
This guy I'd asked me all the hypothetical questions, nothing related to my actual experience.
I get an email next day that they're not moving on with me.
I was doubtful that something isn't right because it was all in the grey area.
Director (hiring manager) didn't even speak or meet with me once.
I'm glad that it didn't go through sensing the 'communication gap' in that group.
I saw American Express' posting again on job board that they're still looking for a candidate for this position.
