Three rounds of interview, Technical, Techno Managerial, Director, Director joined from USA, so I have to join early in the morning IST timings, I'm a mid level engineer, the director expectation was that I should've architected an entire application from end to end and even asked if I have any team leading experience which is way too high level in my POV, I tried to explain that usually mid level don't get oppurtunity to architect he was like yeah I know but you should've architected something, end result rejected
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Applied Materials (Bengaluru) in Oct 2025
Interview
The interview experience was overall positive and focused entirely on my resume, past projects, and technical background. I was able to respond confidently to every question and believed my answers were clear, accurate, and well-structured. I demonstrated my skills, explained my contributions in detail, and addressed the interviewer’s follow-up questions effectively. From my perspective, the discussion went smoothly and met all expectations. However, despite this, I was not selected for the next stage, and no specific feedback or reason for the rejection was shared, leaving the outcome unclear to me.
