I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg (Cape Town) in Nov 2017
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter who gave me a detailed job spec, details on what kind of candidate they are looking for and to suss out if I would fit the bill.
After providing my particulars the recruiter set up a face-to-face with the team leader of Global Data in the Cape Town office.
I was introduced to my interviewer - who ignored me for a few minutes and then left the room for another 10 minutes, this was the most awkward part of the whole experience.
Once started the interview started it went well and I was asked to do the aptitude test after the interview.
Something to note is that the meeting was planned for one interviewer, but another joined - not major, but don't let that throw you.
In the end I did not get an offer, however they give good feedback and I know where the issues lie.
All in all it was a good experience and I still think it would be a great company to work for, not to mention it would be a great addition to anyone's CV.
Do alot of research - it's one company where the research resources are endless. Know your 5 year plan, their values, their culture and what your skills are that you can bring to the table.
