Expect some combination of:
DSA / LeetCode-style problems (arrays, strings, trees, graphs, DP if they’re feeling dramatic)
System design (if it’s backend or SWE II level)
Practical coding + discussion
Debugging or code review
They’re checking:
Can you think clearly under pressure?
Do you communicate while coding?
Do you actually understand tradeoffs or just memorize patterns?
Started with a technical interview. Interview included behavioural Qs (like introduce yourself, why Bloomberg), an open-ended coding problem, and time complexity discussion of your solution. Did not progress past the first round.
10 min behavioural, then leetcode medium, 10 minutes at the end for questions.
Interviewer was useful in providing direction and hints. Problem statement was clear. Coding in hackerrank. The interviewer says we don't need to run the code (but obviously if it runs then you will get a better score)
