I was surprised at how fast the process went. I was first contacted by two recruiters who did the initial screening. After that the director of the team interviewed me over the phone. With the completion of the phone screen, I was invited on-site. The on-site interview was 6 hours
I applied online. I interviewed at Cisco (San Jose, CA) in Mar 2019
Interview
Very friendly interviewers. Questions were easy. Mostly about pricing, product positioning, market fit, competition. Half of the questions were on technical aspects of the product area I was interviewing for. Interviewers were from engineering and marketing teams.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Cisco in Nov 2018
Interview
Was extremely bureaucratic and unprofessional. Was put in contact with a recruiter whom I talked with. The process consisted of two rounds.
After my call, I was invited for a first round interview. It was very behavioral and easy. You learned what part of Cisco you'd be in.
I then received a Final Round interview. It was two back to back interviews through webcam. It was all behavioral. They said they were really impressed, but I did not hear back for 2 months after ongoing correspondence with the recruiter and was informed eventually there was no position.
