Interview
Mi hanno chiesto i vari aspetti della mia vita includendo domande che facessero comprendere a chi mi stava facendo il colloquio come ragionassi, tra cui anche eventi specifici a cui dovevo rispondere.
I applied online. I interviewed at Decathlon (Sydney) in Jan 2025
Interview
My interview experience with Decathlon was disappointing and far more intense than expected for a Sales Assistant role. The process lasted almost 3 hours and involved multiple activities, including designing products and pitching/selling products, which felt excessive for an entry-level retail position.
While I understand wanting to assess customer service and teamwork skills, the interview process felt unnecessarily long and demanding considering the role being applied for. A lot of time and effort was expected from candidates without clear relevance to the actual day-to-day responsibilities of a Sales Assistant.
Overall, the process felt poorly organised and did not reflect well on the company’s respect for applicants’ time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me why you choose this product and how it relates to you?
The interview process took around 1h but went very smoothly. Hiring manager was nice even though sometimes asked some tricky questions (but I mean, it's part of the process). Overall I would consider it average.
