Deutsche Bank interview questions

I was contact by recruiter the day after applying on-line. She was pleasant however I was very taken aback that she asked about my current salary. When I tried to decline by saying I didn't wish to disclose that information at this time she informed me the would do a salary verification before making an offer. My follow up e-mail to her a few days later was not answered. One week later I heard back from her to arrange a phone interview with the hiring manager. Spoke to him a few days later. He was also pleasant. I followed up with the recruiter one week later as the hiring manager said I would hear from her and still haven't heard back. I guess they went with another candidate.
