I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Discover (West Valley City, UT) in Dec 2015
Interview
Applied on my computer, received a call the next day. Had a basic phone interview and was asked to come in for a face to face interview. Arrived early, was given a tour of the building first and then we went into her office for the interview. Pretty laid back, easy questions. Interviewer wanted me to meet the manager of the Student Loan department. She asked me about 10 questions about scenarios at my past jobs and what I did to resolve the problems that occurred. Got the job on the spot.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Discover (Riverwoods, IL) in Jul 2014
Interview
Somewhat detailed phone interview with hiring manager. We talked about background and various past work experiences. Then was brought in front of a panel including hiring manager and future co-workers and was asked a very few questions and hired. It seemed as the process was already done but that he just wanted to meet me.

Question 1
Q: Would I listen to management or try to do things my way.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Discover (Phoenix, AZ) in Oct 2015
Interview
Hiring process didn't take long. Interviews at first where great. The background check process took forever and then they didn't even tell me they changed their mind. I was disappointed with the lack of communication. Two weeks after my start date i ended up emailing my point of contact thanking her for wasting my time and that I went with another company. Discover didn't even give me the opportunity. They requested documented for something that was never on my record and used that as a determining factor. Any company that does this in the start is not worth working for. Especially when they requested documents for a traffic related ticket.
