I applied in-person. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Discover (Phoenix, AZ) in Mar 2015
Interview
Met representatives from Discover at the university career fair, then applied online. Received a simple phone interview and was called in for an in-person interview. Was interviewed by one middle-manager and one executive: pretty easy interview, nothing technical. Some behavioral, some fit questions. Got the offer once my background and drug test cleared
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Discover (Phoenix, AZ) in Jan 2013
Interview
Before I came in I was sent an email for a simulation of getting calls working at Discover and seeing how I could respond, depending on how you do they'll hire go with a newbie part time position (they train these folks for 6 months then promote them to full timers) or if you have previous experience they'll offer you a full time spot.

Question 1
The interview was pretty routine, you sit with everyone else there waiting to be interviewed, it's a big company and expanding rapidly when I first applied in 2013. They ask you about your customer service experience if you have any, if you think you can handle the volume of calls you'll be trained for (at least 70+ calls a day), where you see yourself in blank number of years and if you think you'll be with Discover for the long run. They also drug test you just FYI.
Great company, great people, great benefits, decent pay with great room to make more but all the calls started giving me headaches shorty after I started and I left.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Discover (Riverwoods, IL) in Apr 2015
Interview
Received a call from HR setting up phone interview time. A simple 30-minute phone interview by the hiring manager, mainly asking about resume. Followed by a 6-people, 3.5-hour on-site two weeks later. Questions included resume, quiz and simple case-study. HR called two weeks later asking for intentions. Received job offer right afterwards.
