I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Discover
Interview
Was contacted by an HR person, after being turned down for the job I actually applied for. Interviews were set up with 4 people. Half of them weren't available, so they had me talk to people who weren't prepared to interview me, and had no idea what to ask me or what to talk about.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Discover (Chicago, IL) in Oct 2012
Interview
I gave Discover my resume during a career fair, and got contacted with directions on how to apply for an interview. The application process was very straightforward, but the interviews were extremely difficult. There were two 30-minute interviews back-to-back, one analytical and the other more creative. The creative one was more conversational, but the analytical interview asked hard-hitting questions. Be prepared.

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Discover (Phoenix, AZ) in Aug 2012
Interview
The interviewing process consisted of three parts: an online assessment to verify you have the basic skills the job requires, a phone interview used by Discover's hiring department to get a feel for the individual's personality, and finally, an in-person, on-site interview where you will get the opportunity to listen to phone call conversations with customers you will be having, and giving your opinion on them, giving the hiring representative a chance to determine if you share the same views and values in customer care as the company does.

Question 1
During the interview, the hiring representative will display 10 cards that all show different qualities a customer service representative should have, and they ask that you put them in order from your strongest to weakest abilities, then question you on the order you've given.
