The process took 1 day. I interviewed at EY (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2011
Interview
The hiring process is very streamlined. Unlike in advisory, there is no case study, just a series of three basic one on one interviews from a Manager, a Senior Manager, and a Partner. Keep in mind; however, that everyone, even the "buddy" who shows you around, will be asked about you. There is a great deal of effort exerted in making you feel welcomed and relaxed, so you have no excuse to be nervous!
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
So tell me about yourself - what's not on your resume?
Try telling stories to impress the recruitment team, and it's kinda hard to do so. Also the timer appearing when answering quiz, all the things are making you nervous throughout the one-way video interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Any experience of leadership?
Any experience of failure?
First round behaviourals and casing, second round plain behavioural with motivation etc. The casing was audit related, with some technicals and then a case about a small firm, and expected difficulties and other regarding auditing.
The interview process was pretty smooth, with the interviews being virtual, and more of a walkthrough of my resume with multiple interviewers. I also found that preparing for follow up questions and pitching myself as a candidate through stories in college was a very helpful approach.
