Evolution interview questions in Riga

Recruiter called me and offered interview for day after at 18:00. In the job description I believed that I’m matching at least 90% and actually I never applied for position where I’m matching 100% coz why would I apply for something where is nothing to learn. On the very bottom of the job description says that advantage skills are: education in IT, experience in related field, basic SQL, experience with Putty. I think I was matching everything with great experience working as T2 in huge companies like Apple and DocuSign. We agreed that recruiter going to meet me at 18:00 and gonna take me to Manager for interview. I arrived at 18:00. Signed in system and reception said that once I signed then automatically message will be sent to my contact person. I waited for 30 mins and asked reception to check if they still remember about me. In reception ladies advised to contact myself the contact person. Unfortunately my battery went dead when I tried to call, asked reception to call but they said nothing they can do. When I was about to leave, they said to wait and they will try to find her. I don’t understand why we couldn’t do this straightaway. By 19:00 some guy came up to collect me and took me to the The room with computer. Advised me to do a SQL test. The test wasn’t basic but advanced with tasks related to the companies procedures and no any managers, nothing just full test about SQL and nothing else. I was very disappointed about the eat they treat me and job description. If SQL is the first thing you need, why you didn’t mention that you need someone with good SQL understanding, I wouldn’t spend my time and money to come. Fortunately 2 days after got interview for better company and position and got job offer after 1st interview. Would never recommend Evolution Gaming.

It took painful 2 rounds of Interview by panel of 6 members in total, After careful consideration, I got through the interview with huge positive reviews and support from interviewers. Not until I continuously followed up with HR, did they not respond to me, After all they said the position is put 'On Hold' due to various internal company reasons. I proved myself to be the ideal candidate, it was all for nothing as I had to come back to India only to receive an email saying they stopped the hiring process and this position is removed. As I write this, I found they re-opened this position! I wish they were honest about the reason instead of covering their poor interview process with a lie. I would not recommend this company to anyone, to even take the pain of sitting through 2 hours of interview process.
