I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at G-Research (Padua) in Mar 2016
Interview
The first steps of the interview process are a written test and an interview. They are about testing the candidate skills and fluency on statistical, mathematical, financial, coding background, plus logical reasoning through brain-teasers. The interview process requires a good and deep preparation on the typical topics of quantitative interviews.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at G-Research (London, England)
Interview
I had to complete a written test with question ranging from probability to coding to finance. There were some standard questions and a couple of brain teasers. The test is not extremely difficult but I should have practice more.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at G-Research (London, England)
Interview
G Research is a highly selective company that turns down plenty of people who would probably be good at the job, to make sure everyone who is hired is definitely very capable and a good fit. So the interview process was difficult, but at the same time I was always treated in a courteous and friendly way. No trick questions or mind games.
After sending a CV, I was invited to take a 90 minute test. See the website for details. I found out that I had passed that day. Over a few visits I sat several one on one technical interviews, maybe about an hour each, eventually meeting with senior management to assess how good a fit I would be, and I met with the team I would be joining. I was offered a very competitive salary, beyond what my recruiter had said was expected, no low offers or mind games, and accepted.

Question 1
I signed a non disclosure agreement so can't say what I was asked. But you know you are required to take a written timed test and answer questions verbally and in writing on programming, maths, statistics and finance. Prepare these things well. There's no mystery.
