I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Google (Taipeh) in Mar 2024
Interview
I interviewed in 2024. I applied through referral. Got the response from the recruiter within a week. He was very friendly and helpful. The following interviews were stretched over 2 months. I was told that I got positive results, but the position was moved, so I didn't get an offer. However, the recruiter helped me to start the interview process with another role, thus another recruiter. Again, I cleared the circle, but while we were negotiating the details, e.g., visa & salary, I was told that it is close to the financial year and they need to wait for the budget. In the end, the role was cancelled, so I didn't get any offer despite that I had all positive results.
All the interviewers are very nice and friendly; however, the process dragged on too long, and the budget thing / the cancellation of positions added a lot of frustration.
Good interviewers that ask a lot of questions to gauge your domain knowledge. Do not feel daunted because they just need to know your thought process. Speak more and out loud. Think out loud.
Two process interview. was not clear. first interview with recruiter which thought it will go well. second with Hiring manager which was not clear what was asked or needed. Not sure why went through this.

Interview
had first interview with recruiter - she was nice. thought that I was the right person for the job. Second interview with manager from the US. was less good. felt like the main reason for the interview was to hire a similar person to the person who was interviewing. we talked at night (for me) and was 30 min over the interview allocated time, but the morning after I got a rejection call.
