The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Google (Shanghai, Shanghai) in Apr 2011
Interview
Phone Interview with HR: Was very easy and casual. The HR lady just wants to know the basic things about you, your experiences, where do you see yourself in 2 years, do you want to be relocated, do you know how Google makes its profit, etc. The HR lady that interviewed me also explained Google's application process which includes 5 interviews that will likely take4 to 6 weeks.
1st Interview: The 1st interview was with 2 senior managers who you will be directly reporting to. The interview was done separately and was through video conferencing (even though the person was in the same building and floor as you). Questions were largely about explaining your background and then your professional experience as it relates to the position you are interviewing for.
After the 1st interview, I was told to wait for HR to get in touch and explain the next step. I am still waiting for HR to get back and have followed-up with them as well. But they only told me that they are still reviewing my application.
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Google (Dublin, Dublin)
Interview
Organised , 2-3 rounds , more about media experience and more follow-up questions … last few minutes for questions to hiring manager … confident answer in STAR method is best way to proceed
They have a very well-structured hiring process and scheduling interviews was incredibly easy and convenient. The recruiter was super friendly throughout our entire interaction, and they thoughtfully provided post-interview feedback to me, which I greatly appreciated receiving.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Google
Interview
Got referred by a friend, had a call with a nice person from HR, after that I had an interview with a manager, relaxed conversation about how I'd adress certain topics and also did a practical case study,.
