I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Google (Sunnyvale, CA) in Jul 2019
Interview
I was initially screened by a recruiter. Then I did a remote interview with the hiring manager. They flew me to their offices for four in person interviews. Each interview was one hour. The interviewers were very nice. The process is different because they literally type every word you say. There isn’t much eye contact or feedback/interaction as I talked with the interviewers. It was an odd experience. The interviews were harder than other interviews I’ve been in. They ask a question then drill down several layers for a more detailed response. Overall it was a good opportunity. It’s made other interviews since then seem like a breeze.
