Interview
Made it through 3 calls: recruiter screen, 30min intro with the Engineering Director, and a 1hr portfolio review with the Engineering Director and Design Lead. Conversations were great, process moved quickly, and the team was flexible.
Con: receiving an automated no-reply rejection after a fairly involved process was disappointing.
Note: the 30min intro was positioned as a casual background chat, but come prepared with a 10min case study and raw working files. Expect to show and answer questions around documentation, handoffs, specs, component structure / connections, tokens, and how quickly you make design decisions.

Question 1
How long do you spend in each phase before moving forward?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Gopuff (London, England) in Apr 2026
Interview
A video screening call with HR which is pretty standard, Invited back for a second interview and it was shortened to 15 minutes where the interviewer shared their screen and I had to talk about my approach for some data. Then some scenario questions were asked.
First stage was with recruiter, after a few days it was with the hiring manager and the third with was with the hiring manager and their manager. It was an extensive and quite difficult task, you also needed to send it a day before and you had to present it back
