I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Infosys in Sep 2011
Interview
The aptitude exam began at 12 noon. I reached the campus at 8:00 A.M. I was given an application form which required my educational qualifications & personal details. The result was out at around 6:40 P.M.
Then I was called for a 1:1 interview at 10:00 P.M. My interview began at 10:05 P.M. The HR was an old man, he asked me about myself & my family. Then another man came and the HR left for 5-8 mins. I had to wait outside during that time. On returning the HR asked me HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY STUDIES?
Then he asked me about my projects & concluded the interview by asking the games I play.

Interview
Following the assessment test, got shortlisted for the interview phase. The session itself was very smooth; the interviewer created a supportive and comfortable environment right from the beginning. The conversation centered around my project, where I had the opportunity to detail its technical aspects, architectural choices, and the underlying motivation for building it.
Multiple rounds including face to face and aptitude depending on the role type and resume and project related questions were asked with focus on technical concepts including data structures and algorithms
The recruitment process started with an online assessment that included aptitude, reasoning, verbal ability, and programming questions. Candidates who cleared the assessment were invited for a technical and HR interview. The interview lasted around 30 minutes and focused on Java fundamentals, projects mentioned in the resume, OOP concepts, certifications, and basic HR questions. The interviewers were friendly and gave sufficient time to answer.
