I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Lidl (Plymouth, England) in Feb 2016
Interview
Interview Process was fairly easy including many general questions. There were many other candidates invited as they were recruiting people for several stores. At first, the area manager gave a brief introduction of the company, what is their success over the years and particularly in the United Kingdom. Then each manager of the different stores introduced themselves and tell us the length if their employment at the company. The majority of them were part of the company for over 5 years. After that, we have been asked to complete very easy numeracy tests and hand it back, followed by one to one meeting with the manager of the store you applied for.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lidl (Worcester, England) in Apr 2017
Interview
I was invited to the first stage interview. That lasted less than 10 minutes, as they didn't even get my CV or the cover letter that I submitted online. The guy didn't know what to ask me other than what hours I'm available and if I was flexible. I was called to the second interview a week later with his superior who didn't bother to show up at all, so I was given a short work trial (stocking up the shelves) instead. After that, I was sent home. The next day, rejection via email (all correspondence was via email). Disgraceful for a company that has such "high standards".
