I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin (Orlando, FL) in Nov 2016
Interview
I applied online, then contacted an alumnus from my university found through LinkedIn. This person put me into the employee referral database. I then received a call requesting an in-person interview, scheduled for a week later. Everyone was nice when I arrived. The interview was super laid back, senior engineering staff conducted the interview, really only asked about my research and background, content from my resume.
Straightforward, focus on STAR method, tie that back to your resume. They use Full Spectrum Leadership principles that LM has set, so look into that as well. Make sure to have good examples that show both technical, managerial, and interpersonal skills.

I applied online. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin in Jun 2026
Interview
It was a quick process over all once you get your first interview scheduled. I only had to interview once but I have heard people needing two rounds. Also turn around was pretty quick and your recruiter is a really good source to ask questions if you have any. Please know your resume inside out because they will pull it up when interviewing you!
