I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin (Havant, England) in Mar 2018
Interview
Applied through Highbury College in Portsmouth. Went to a mock assessment day which was very friendly. Started with a group exercise, then went onto practice psychometric tests/interviews (took it in turns to do each). Had a break for lunch then did another group task that involved everyone. Was given feedback and tips for the real assessment day.
Went to the assessment day in Havant. Not as friendly this time. Started with a presentation that ended up giving everyone the information about Lockheed they had spent days memorising - waste of time. Then onto a group activity with only a couple of questions afterwards - didn't really allow anyone to sell themselves.
We then split into groups of 3 and went on a tour around the department we would work in while others went for interviews. This swapped around so everyone had a tour and an interview. Then we had lunch and another tour or interview if you had not already been interviewed. (2 tours + 1 interview).
Interviewers did not seem that friendly and the whole day was not as organised, in fact, the mock assessment day was more organised and that was not even setup by Lockheed. There were no psychometric tests done in the real assessment day.
Received a phone call over a week later saying nobody was successful but no feedback.
Straightforward, focus on STAR method, tie that back to your resume. They use Full Spectrum Leadership principles that LM has set, so look into that as well. Make sure to have good examples that show both technical, managerial, and interpersonal skills.

I applied online. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin in Jun 2026
Interview
It was a quick process over all once you get your first interview scheduled. I only had to interview once but I have heard people needing two rounds. Also turn around was pretty quick and your recruiter is a really good source to ask questions if you have any. Please know your resume inside out because they will pull it up when interviewing you!
