I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin (Fort Worth, TX) in Dec 2008
Interview
I applied online and within a month or two I was called. They flew me out to Fort Worth and put me up for the night. The next day I went in for my interview. I was interviewd by two sets. The first set was two employees from my department. Then one person from HR. The first interview consisted mainly of behavioral questions such as, "Tell me about a time when..." They also wanted to know how much I knew about Lockheed Martin and Aeronautics specifically. I went into my interview knowing about aeronautics and planes but doing research and reading the annual reports and company website gave me more information. Also going through bloomberg.com for articles impressed them, that I knew so much. Another portion of the time we spent talking about schools and my experience at my school and what types of leadership roles I have taken on.
The second interview was a very basic and more of a follow up to make sure I was eligible to work for Lockheed, as a defense contractor.

Question 1
( I was not taken by the question but it was for me the most difficult at the time)
Tell me a time when you disagreed with your superior and tell me the outcome?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin (Washington, DC) in Jun 2009
Interview
Extremely tedious to get an actual interview at Lockheed. Even knowing 9 different manager/ director level associates that all personally vouged for me wtih hiring manger/ recruiter directly and even followed up with phone call and e-mail, I never received an in-person interview and the phone interview was lacking. Terrible responsiveness and follow up from their HR and hiring managers. I have applied for dozens of opportunities there with direct employee referrals and commendations for jobs I am well suited and qualified for with not so much as an automated reply to let me know the status of the search. Not one in-person interiew was granted over 9 month search period.

Question 1
Why are you leaving your current position and pursuing this area of business?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin (Halifax, NS) in Jun 2009
Interview
Interview process was normal. Did a conference call with a local manager and a remote manager. It was very much a management interview. Almost no technical questions at all. Once the interview was over, the next step was the reference check. They are really hard core in their reference checks. I needed to provide 3 personal and 3 business references. Trying to get 3 business references without letting your current employer know is not easy!
