I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at MathWorks in Sep 2018
Interview
There was a technical challenge done through I think HackerRank. A week or two later I had a phone interview that first discussed what I had done for the technical challenge and then had some behavioral questions.
First round is a screening (either by phone or video recording). Second round is online assessment, where you get to choose the programming languages you prefer. Third round is a phone interview with one of the engineers in Mathworks. I didn't make it to the last round.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at MathWorks in Aug 2018
Interview
First round was online test with 10 MCQs and 2 coding questions (to be coded in 2 different languages). MCQs were from basic data structures and algorithms which are of moderate difficulty. Basic coding skills will suffice to clear coding questions. I was shortlisted for PI.
PI was taken on skype. Only one round of PI which was managerial. Discussion on my CV for 15-20 minutes and then few questions on strengths and weaknesses. Overall it was a good experience.
