I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at MathWorks (New York, NY)
Interview
Multiple rounds:
After applying, instantly get sent instructions to complete Hackerrank coding challenge and Hirevue. Hirevue has typical HR questions. Hackerrank 3 parts-math MCQ (mostly probability), 3 coding problems (you can choose your preferred language), and MATLAB MCQ. You only have to do part 1 and either part 2 or 3.
If cleared, a technical round with current EDG engineer. You'll be given questions based on your field and skills. They'll ask you to explain your hackerrank solution and give you more coding problems. It's important to be strong in this section.
Then, speak to EDG manager for behavioral screen and potential team matching. You'll go over resume in depth too.
Then speak to HR for behavioral screen, talk about benefits, potential salary, etc
Everyone was pretty kind throughout the process. But at the end they offered an EDG sales position where you basically work towards doing full time sales. After passing all the rounds I felt this was not worth the effort put into this process. Plus having a scientific degree to be put into sales was just not acceptable, so I declined.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at MathWorks in Jan 2022
Interview
Applied for a full time position through a referral. Get a online assessment (90 minutes) and hirevue video interview (must complete within a week). Online assessment (includes 5 math questions (15 mins) and 2 coding problems). The coding challenges consists of several languages but does not include python. I'm proficient in python. I chose Java to do to challenge. I did 4/5 math questions due to time limit and passed all test cases for 2 coding problems. After submitted both assessment and hirevue thing, I thought I did quite OK but ... got a rejection after ~10 days.
