Actually, this happened twice to me.
In Feb 2019, I had applied for a position online and got rejected. Later on, a recruiter emailed me about an opening that based on my previous application, I might be a good fit and a hiring manager wanted to talk to me. Then, in another email she asked me some questions regarding my experiences and I responded. After not hearing anything for almost two weeks, I emailed the recruiter but heard nothing.
The second time, in July 2019, I applied for another position online and got an email from the same recruiter that a hiring manager was interested in speaking with me and there were some questions to answer about my experiences in the email. After responding to the questions, I was asked for my availability for a phone interview, which I responded right away but never heard back again.
This is so frustrating. I have been using and teaching MATLAB for the last 7 years and love to work at MathWorks. But this recruiter is something.

Are you currently authorized to work in the US, on a full-time basis, for any employer, without restriction?
Went up to 15 minutes. Be Specific to what they ask. Very good company. Future growth. I suggest new grad students prepare well before they take the call. Expect the unexpected questions.
